Overview
This adventure takes you into Dibang Valley, India's least densely populated district, on the edge of Tibet. From Dibrugarh you cross the Dhola–Sadiya bridge to Roing at the foot of the Mishmi Hills, then climb over Mayudia Pass — snowy in winter — and follow the Dri and Dibang river valleys to Anini.
In Anini you will meet Idu Mishmi families, learn about their textiles and shamanic traditions, and walk through pristine forest. On the way back, Roing's archaeological site at Bhismaknagar and Mehao Lake add history and nature. Facilities are simple and roads are remote, but the sense of discovery is extraordinary.

Dibrugarh to Roing
Drive via Tinsukia and the Dhola–Sadiya (Bhupen Hazarika) bridge to Roing.
